Thurs. 10 September
We firstly checked our homework (☔ rain in my parade!!) on putting sharp (♯) on the G Major scale. I was correct that the order is G-A-B-C-D-E-F♯-G. Without the sharp the rhythm would be 1,1,½,1,1,½,1. There were a few students that did not understand or do the homework. Some of us were "quizzed" about this. We also learnt about 2♯ Scale and 3♯ Scale.

9 September
∳ We checked the attendance (as usual ♩), there are some students ☺who are incomplete (as usual ♪). ♮We got our score for last weeks performance and I got 95/100!!!. ♪We learnt why a C major scale is called Natural and Major scale. ♫Our homework is to put sharps on the G Major Scale. Mr. Herry ☺ told us about Developmental workbook, which is an MYP portfolio (sort of) that we access through the Parent or Student Desks ✉.
2 September
♪During Theory class, we were told to make a blog (this is the result) and write our ♫♬ Music reflection on the Blog. During Istrument class, we had practiced for our Assessment task tomorrow. We submitted our booklets for the presentation last week. ^.^♪.
26 & 27 August
♪We saw groups present their work. My group went 2nd on 26th of August. On the Thursday, we saw 3 groups present about Sumatra ♫, Papua ♪and Balinese♩music. These ☺☺☺three groups were rescheduled because they didn't do the work and was marked late, or didn't have time ◷ to present. We were told to prepare a simple ☊ song and some of the students did on that day. Anky told ♬ the Violin class he was not going to attend School the following week, so he did his performance during violin class, graded 90 by mr. Sadrakh ☺.
20 August
We had a "talk" about our Presentation and how it was going.
19 August
♬ We learnt about... ♯ SHARP!!!!!!! YAY!!!!! (although I don't really know why I am so happy ❀) ♯s used to make a note go ½ higher. We had a little "quiz" to show how much we know if there is a sharp (♯) in a note (♪, ♩, etc.).
13 September
☼ Today, I made plans ♬ with my group, Edward ☺, Tristan ☺, Kevin ☺, Vienna ☺ and I ☺, when we will make the presentation, at who's house ☖ and who does what. We made our presentation at Edwards' house this Saturday. I didn't bring my violin today ☹, so I got my first breach.
12 August

4th August
During theory class, we got a new song, called "Apuse". Its was used in the movie called Garuda Di Dadaku. Click this link to see what the lyrics are. In Theory class, mr. Sadrakh taught Edward Vienna and I more about the violin.

3 August 2009
Today Vienna and I got our violin. We learnt the song "twinkle-twinkle little star", what the position looks like and what the basic elements of violin is like what the strings are and what are open-string, finger-1, 2 and 3 are. During Music theory class, the whole class sang "O Ina Nikeke".

Today we sang the song "O Ina Ni Keke" in groups. I think I did good. I moved into violin instrument already, so did Vienna. We haven't got our violins by this time, so we watched our classmates play.

27 July 2009
We had our first class and most of us brought complete resources. In each class, there are things we have to bring, in music, our resources are:
-Pencilcase
-Clear Holder
- Journal
-Instrument
unless you join piano, of course... -Music Book
We were given a song called "O Ina Ni Keke" a Sulawesi song which melody sounds like "Ibu kita Kartini".
During our instrument class, there were three new students, Vienna, Edward and me. We were starting our first year in violin. Edward bought a violin already, Vienna and mine were being bought by our teacher.

Today, during music theory class, the 6B students chose what instrument we would like to learn. Our music theory teacher is Mr. Sadrakh, the violin teacher. At first, many of the students chose piano, including me. But the lesson was full and the only instruments available were woodwind, violin and guitar. I picked woodwind, but after a day, I transfered to violin.
